The Subaru Impreza GC8 platform is the only eligible chassis. Body shell must remain in standard configuration outside mandatory safety modifications.
GC8 OnlyThe Subaru EZ30 H6 engine is mandatory. Both EZ30D and EZ30R variants are accepted — the D delivers superb gravel torque, the R a revised tune.
EZ30 MandatoryThe Link G5 ECU is the series recommendation. NZ-made, excellent EZ30 compatibility, well-supported by local tuners.
Link G5 RecommendedMCA Gold coilovers in gravel spec are the setup of choice. External canister suspension is banned to control costs.
No External CanistersThe 2006 Forester gearbox is the recommended pairing with the EZ30. Proven reliable under the demands of South Island gravel stages.
